Our teachers come from all sorts of backgrounds, but they’re united by a common passion: Sharing music with children and families in the Overland Park, KS!
All teachers have successfully completed the live Music Together® Teacher Training, which is built on research in early childhood and music development. We keep our skills fresh through workshops every semester and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide.
Anny Chou is originally from Taiwan. She holds a Master in Music Performance in Piano and Flute from Wichita State University. While she studied in school; she performed as a solo performer; as a member of woodwind quintet; as orchestra and wind ensemble first chair and piccolo performer. She has been teaching piano from age 4 up to adult and flute for 9 years. She also teaches as a piano teacher at Wichita Collegiate School and as a piano accompanist at Andover Central Middle School for a couple of years. She enjoys teaching young kids. For her, teaching young kids is a challenge but also a good achievement when students enjoy music. She just moves into Overland park in July 2019 and she is ready to share her music-loving and a new adventure. She believes she is a helper than a teacher. Her philosophy is bringing music to everyone and everyone enjoys the music. This is the reason she decided to become a Music Together Teacher. She and Music Together share the same philosophy.
Besides being a teacher; she loves traveling and learning new information.
